In a joint operation with Rajasthan police and central agencies, the anti-gangster task force (AGTF) of Punjab police tracked down Ramjan Khan alias Raj Hooda to Ramnagar on Jaipur’s outskirts where he allegedly fired at the cops.
Injured in the retaliatory firing, Khan was taken to a hospital. It is learnt thatthere were two others with Khan but the p olice were yet to elaborate on their links with him. Two pistols have been seized from Khan.
Meanwhile, Punjab police DGP Gaurav Yadav tweeted about the arrest:“The operation was successfully executed with the coordination of central agencies and Rajasthan police. ”
Six shooters had gunned down Singh on November 10 in Faridkot’s Kotkapura town. Four, including two juveniles, were from Haryana and two from Punjab. Delhi police’s special cell had arrested three of them from Patiala while Punjab police had held two from Hoshiarpur a few weeks ago. Khan was the only one out of the net.
