Ducati Streetfighter V2 launched in India at Rs 17.25 lakh


Ducati India today launched the Streetfighter V2 priced at Rs 17.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The sport naked is based on and shares its engine with the Ducati Panigale V2 supersport. It is powered by a 955cc Superquadro twin cylinder engine that makes 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and 101.4 Nm at 9,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a quickshifter.
The Streetfighter V2 gets a die-cast aluminium monocoque chassis anchored to the engine and a single-sided swingarm. These and losing the fairing have helped in a dry weight of 178 kg.
Ducati states that the chassis geometry on the Streetfighter V2 has been refreshed for the different use and the specific weight distribution (with rider on board) that differentiates the Streetfighter V2 from to the Panigale V2. The weight distribution front and rear is 52% and 48%, respectively.

The suspension includes a 43 mm diameter Showa BPF front fork, fully-adjustable in compression, rebound damping, and spring preload, along with Sachs steering damper. At the rear, it gets a progressive linkage fully-adjustable Sachs shock.
The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with 5-spoke wheels and the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires: 120/70 ZR17 at the front and 180/60 ZR17 at the rear.
The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with M4.32 monobloc callipers on a pair of 320 mm discs. At the rear, it gets a 245 mm diameter disc. Ducati says that the brake pads have a less aggressive bite than on the Panigale V2, to favour their effectiveness in road use.
The Electronic package on the Streetfighter V2 includes:
1. ABS Cornering EVO
2. Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO 2
3. Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO
4. Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) EVO 2
5. Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO
The bike boasts three Riding Modes (Sport, Road, Wet), tweaked from the Panigale V2 gets (Road, Sport and Track). The Riding Modes are also associated with three Power Modes: High Mode with a full torque curve, Medium Mode with a softened torque curve, and Low Mode with limited power.
