The entry-level commuter motorcycle is now offered in six shades, including the new colour scheme. The Hero Splendor Plus colour options include Black with Purple, Heavy Grey with Green, Black with Silver, Silver Nexus Blue, Matte Shield Gold and Black with Sports Red.
In terms of engine and feature upgrades, the Hero Splendor Plus remains unchanged. The commuter bike is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine, developing a power of 7.9 bhp@8,000 rpm and a torque of 8.05 Nm@6,000 rpm. It comes mated with a four-speed manual transmission and receives an idle start/stop system.
Braking duties are handled by an integrated braking system and drum brakes at one end. Suspension will be taken care of by front telescopic forks and rear dual spring-loaded shock absorbers.
The base variant of the new Hero Splendor Plus is priced at Rs 70,658, while the higher-spec variant attracts a price tag of Rs 72,978 (both prices are ex-showroom).
