Hyundai Alcazar launched with new 1.5 L petrol engine: Cleaner and more powerful

Hyundai Motor India today announced prices for the Alcazar 6 & 7-seater SUV that is powered by a new 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine. The updated Hyundai Alcazar price starts from Rs 16.75 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 20.25 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The Alcazar SUV will be available in four variants, including Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O) and Signature (O). Here is the variant-wise pricing –

2023 Hyundai Alcazar: What’s new?
Under the hood, the Hyundai Alcazar will be powered by a RDE-complaint 1.5-litre diesel CRDi engine, producing 116PS@4,000 rpm and 250Nm@1,500-2,750 rpm. As part of MY ’23 introductions, Hyundai Alcazar will now make use of a new 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine, which is RDE compliant and E20 fuel ready. The engine will be offered with two transmission options – a six manual transmission and a seven DCT unit.
The turbo GDi petrol variant will churn out a peak power of 160PS@5,500 rpm and a max torque of 253Nm@1,500-3,500 rpm. It will offer a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.5 kmpl with MT and 18 kmpl with DCT respectively.

The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar gets a few aesthetic upgrades as well in the form of a revised front grille, new puddle lamp logo with the ‘Alcaza’ emblem. In terms of safety, Hyundai has updated the Alcazar with six airbags as standard and Idle Stop and Go feature.
