Rimac Nevera becomes world’s fastest production electric car with 412 kmph top speed


Croatian hypercar, Rimac Nevera has become the world’s fastest electric production car, achieving a record-breaking top speed of 412 kph. Rimac posted a video of the attempt, which took place in Automotive Testing Papenburg track in Germany and the $2 million electric hypercar was driven by Rimac’s chief test and development driver, Miro Zrnčević.

As mentioned previously, the electric hypercar costs around $2 million and only 150 will ever be made. The Nevera can hit 0-100 in a claimed 1.95sec and the Top speed is limited to only 352 kph for customers, but the company says that it can unlock Nevera’s full potential for closed-course events.

Talking about the powertrain, the Rimac Nevera is powered by four electric motors which put out 1,914 horsepower and 2,360 Nm of torque. The company claims that the hypercar can hit 0-100 in 1.85 seconds and has a range of 489 kilometres on one full charge.

Talking about the design, the Rimac Nevera gets a large grille with a wide air dam and sculpted bonnet. It gets a sloping roofline and swept-back LED headlights with DRLs. The EV also gets lightweight forged alloy wheels and at the back, it gets LED taillights and an active wing.
