Royal Enfield sales up 53% in August 2022: New Hunter 350 in high demand


Royal Enfield recently reported an overall sales growth of 53 percent in August 2022. The company posted sales of 70,112 motorcycles last month, as against 45,860 units in the corresponding period last year.
In the domestic category, Royal Enfield sales stood at 62,236 units in August 2022, as compared to 38,572 units in the same month previous year. Export unit sales stood at 7,876 units, a growth of 8.10%, as against 7,288 units in August 2021.

Recently, Royal Enfield concluded the global first media ride, unveiling and India launch of its new Hunter 350 motorcycle. The RE Hunter 350 roadster is available in two variants – Retro and Metro in 8 colour options. The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 price starts at Rs 1.50 lakh for the Retro variant, while the Metro Rebel variant is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
Powering the new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is a 349cc single-cylinder two-valve SOHC air/oil-cooled engine, producing a max power of 20.2 bhp and a peak torque of 27 Nm. Paired with a five-speed gearbox, the roadster offers a top speed of 114 kmph. The brand claims that the new RE Hunter 350 has a fuel efficiency of 36.2 kmpl that is standard on Retro and Metro variants.
“We launched the Hunter 350 early this month, and the motorcycle has received an unprecedented response since then. We are seeing incremental volumes with this launch, and the initial bookings for the new motorcycle have been very promising,” says B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield.
