Tata Motors records 21% sales growth in November 2022


Tata Motors recently reported an overall sales growth of 21% with 75,478 units sold in November 2022. The company registered a total domestic sale of 73,467 units last month compared to 58,073 units sold in November 2021, a YoY growth of 27%.
Coming to the commercial vehicle sales, Tata witnessed a YoY decline of 10% with 29,053 units last month as against 32,245 units in November 2021. Speaking of the passenger vehicle sales, the company reported a Year-on-Year growth of 55% with 46,425 units in November 2022 compared to 29,947 units over the same period previous year.
Exports for November 2022 stood at 388 units, registering a YoY growth of 130% over 169 units over the same period last year.
Tata is among the leading passenger electric vehicle manufacturers in India. Last month, EV sales stood at 4,451 units over 1,811 units sold in November 2021, registering a massive YoY growth of 146%.

Coming to the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MCVs and HCVs) segment, Tata Motors saw a Year-on-Year growth of 42% with 8,879-unit sales last month. In November 2022, Light and Intermediate Commercial vehicles sales sold at 3,462 units against 5,099 units over the corresponding period, saw a YoY decline of 32%.
Recently, Tata Motors introduced the CNG technology to its MCV and HCV segment. Speaking of the Small Commercial Vehicles, Tata Intra and Yodha series are also updated as well. In the domestic market, SCV and pickup truck sales stood at 13,048 vehicles, registering a YoY decline of 17%.
