This time around Hyundai has revealed that the new Verna will get 30 standard safety features including 6 airbags as standard across all variants. The new Verna will also get Hyundai Smartsense with 17 Level 2 ADAS features enabled by the front camera as well as Front and Rear radar-based functions.

The company also said that the ADAS functions are suitable for all climates and work even in foggy conditions. The new Verna will also get over 65 Advanced safety features such as ESC, VSM, HAC, all-wheel disc brakes, EPB, ECM, TPMS and many more.
Talking about the 17 Level 2 ADAS features offered with the sedan. It gets Forward collision warnings and assistance ance for cars, pedestrians, junction turning and bicycles. Blind spot collision warning and assist, Lane keeps assisting with departure warning, Driver attention warning and safe exit warning.

Driving convenience functions include Smart cruise control with Stop and go, Lane, following assist, High beam assist and leading vehicle departure alert. Parking safety functions include Rear cross-traffic collision warning and Avoidance assistance.
Talking about the features, the new Verna will get 10.25-inch twin screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, an electric sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Wireless charging. The new Verna will also get a switchable controller with dual functions. The rotary dials can be used to control the volume and the radio tuning, but at the press of a button, can be switched to climate control knobs.

The new Verna will be available in two engine options – a 1.5-litre NA and a 1.5-litre Turbocharged Petrol engine. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. The new Verna will be available in four variants EX, S, SX and SX (O) and will be offered seven single-tone and two dual-tone exterior paint options. The company will also introduce three new paint options – Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Tellurian Brown.
When launched the new Verna continues to compete with Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Maruti Ciaz and Honda City.
